Hi,
I will be installing a small ELS network next week on a client's existing
hardware. The server is going to be a NEC SX PLUS (386SX, 2meg RAM, VGA) that
ALREADY has a 100meg CONNER hard drive with IDE Interface. A small host adapter
(that also includes a floppy controller) connects to the IDE interface on the
Conner. The Netware version is ELS Level I v2.12.
The Novell reseller that we buy from said that they "have heard" about
problems with Conner IDE drives and Novell ELS (since it does not support
Value Added Drivers). Is this true??? If so, can Disk Manager for Netware
enable me to format this little critter (actually, it's already low-level
formatted and used under DOS, I only need to set up the Hot Fix and do the
high level Netware format) ?????
