Ok here I go again...
I've made some more progress with creating new shells for netware 2.15
rev B.
I've created shells using 2 sepreate versions of SHGEN for my Western
Digital Ethercard plus/A cards and my Sytek 4140 cards. The gen
process seems to work fine both sets of drivers allow me to log into
the network and allow me to execute some commands. While executing
certain programs (eg. Word Perfect, DOS copy, Network Assistant Plus
(locks on the Btrieve access) the workstation locks. The error
returned is : 'Error receiving from network'. This is the same on
both cards in different machines.
More data:
On the network we have a Netware 2.0a server and a Netware 386 server,
we are planning to upgrade another 2.0a server to 2.15. Machines
running the old 2.0a drivers and 4140 cards work fine and see both
servers.
Q1: T or F Workstations with 2.15 drivers should be able to see both
2.0a servers and 386 servers?
Q2: Because we use Sytek 8080 bridges, do we have to run ECONFIG?
(How do you run ECONFIG?)
Q3: Is rev. B of 2.15 the problem?
