[comp.dcom.lans] Booting Macintosh on a Novell LAN

kwong@uvicctr.UVic.CA.UUCP (Ken Wong) (07/20/90)

Howdy Netlanders,
We have lots of Mac's and PC's hanging off NOVELL LANs.
A silly question: Is there a way to boot the Mac from the file server?
We want to get rid of all our local hard drives and booting the Mac
with floppy is just too painful. It would be nice if the system folder
is located on the file server!!!
Another question: I redirected the WordPerfect temporary file folder to
point to a NOVELL server folder instead of the local hard drive system
folder. The Mac died. Can this be done?

Thanks a million in advance.
