Hi! I have a Novell Netware v2.15a server and a new Novell Netware v2.15c server. After generating the netware on the new server, I made a complete system backup of the old server using larchive. Then I restored that backup on the new server. During the restoring process I did not restore the files that were already on the new server. After the restore, I rebooted the new server. Now I have a v2.15c server with all v2.15a security and other info intact. The new server also has all old files, users, groups, etc. etc. My understanding was that v2.15c utilized a different (encrypted) security scheme from earlier versions. The question is, will I run into any problems later if I continue to use the new server. This approach will save me the trouble of recreating all users, and other stuff. And my users will not have to go through the trouble of picking a new password (or remembering their old password !!) Is there any other way to move all info (files, security etc.) from a 2.15a server to 2.15c server ? Any comments or suggestion are most welcome. sunil ~~~~~
