I am interested in automating the process of moving mail freely between
unix mail and Novell mail. I'd be receptive to buying a package for Novell
which facilitates this (cc mail, etc.) and/or writing a program to poll
the unix machine if required.
I'd like to accomplish two basic goals:
1) Have the unix machine connected to uunet, and have mail
received by the unix machine translated into the Network's mail so
that user's can read the message as network mail
2) Have mail generated on the network picked up by the unix
machine for transmission out over uunet.
I'm receptive to alternative approaches. Please feel free to email

I have been working on this same kind of approach for our two networks. I have found out that both CC:mail and DaVinci are in a beta period on some SW that will allow a pc to accept novell mail and turn it into smtp format mail. The unix platform knows the ethernet address of the gateway and mails directly to the gateway and vice versa for the novell. Latest I heard was that DaVinci was about a month or two away from ending beta. Maybe you can get more up to date info.
