[comp.dcom.lans] Interseries Adaptor

Hi nettors-this is the first time I have posted so here goes,I was wondering
about the rules,limitations of using a N series-BNC 50 ohm Interseries
adaptor 
i.e       --------- thick(10 base 5)
          ========= thin (10 base 2)

Any help in this direction would be appreciated
