I am having trouble getting my 16Mbs Token Ring running at a "normal rate". I have installed Novell SFT 2.15c on an IBM PS/2 Model 80, 20Mhz, with a 120 MB SCSI drive. I am being assisted by a person from our compter center in the installation of this LAN. He has installed 5 other Novell networks. The probem is it takes forever to load a program from the server, eg. fconsole takes 25 min to load. We have checked the wiring, system configurations, installation of netware, LAN speed, SCSI settings, and any other possible problem. Are next attempt to fix the problem is to replace the SCSI board and place a SCSI terminator on the cable. The SCSI driver I am using and obtained from Compuserve.Netwire, ver 1.02. The other systems are different because they use ESDI instead of SCSI. All of the arendard tests check normal. Does anybody have a solution to this problem? rogerb@d.cs.okstate.edu P.S.
