We're considering acquring an HP Unix box and one of the major issues will be connecting our existing pluc outlying networks to the machine. We currently have 3 networks in place and will be adding at least 3 more in the next 6 months that we'll want to tie together. The current nets are one network with 3 servers (1-SFT 2.15, 2-386 3.0 with upgrade "in the mail") the others are single server ELS II networks. Nets to be added will be 2-386 networks (different locations/buldings) and a few smaller ELS II networks. Questions; 1) What's the best, seamless way if you could put it together your way? 2) What's a quick and dirty means of achieving same? 3) People using HP boxes, what are your thoughts and comments regarding your experiences, particularly in the area of HP support? Aplications we run are WP 5.1, Foxbase Plus LAN (we'll be upgrading to the 2.0 version of Foxpro when it becomes available after the first of the year). Our mailing program is WP Office 2.0, (will also upgrade to 3.0 after 1st of year.) Single user version of Foxpro. Excel spreadsheet, single user version (anyone know if a LAN version is available on this?) Post here or prefer you email me. I will post a summary of responses. Thanks in advance.
