I think that this has been discussed before, but I probably missed it. Could someone tell me authoritatively whether or not the Ultrix drivers for the UDA50/RA81 do bad block forwarding? Our EE school (not on the net yet), has been having trouble with their RA81s under Unix (plain 4.2), and would consider switching to Ultrix if their drivers really do do bad block forwarding. The main person over there has heard a rumor to this effect, and has asked me to confirm it. If they do do it, what version of Ultrix is necessary, and what does it take to get Ultrix (including source) from DEC, and are there special provisions for Universities? Thanks! -- Arnold Robbins CSNET: arnold@gatech ARPA: arnold%gatech.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa UUCP: { akgua, allegra, hplabs, ihnp4, seismo, ut-sally }!gatech!arnold Hello.
