We have a great many desktop Mac's and IBM's that we're linking into a 3Com LAN. There are quite a few LaserWriter printers being used by one or two Mac's that we want to incorporate into the LAN. But with the other printers that we also want connected to the network, server serial ports are at a premium. I am considering connecting the LaserWriters into a LocalTalk network that I will connect to the 3Server3's AppleTalk port. Has anyone done this? Will having only printers on the LocalTalk network cause any problems? Will the printers be selectable as network printers as usual? Any hints and tips? Thanks in advance. -- -- Sue -- ========================================================================= Sue Klefstad s-klefstad@uiuc.edu
