I just spent the night plodding through Novell's 'kernel linking for idiots' (NETGEN to you and me) and finally arrived at a working system including the new Wren IV SCSI disk hooked to an AHA1542B adapter. Copying data to the new SCSI volume from the first ST506 disk using both 'ncopy' and 'copy' resulted in randomly corrupted data. Not a good sign. :( I had initially set the DMA transfer rate up to 6.7MB/sec thinking this would work. I have not had a chance to test the system now that the Adaptec has been returned to the factory setting of 5.7MB/sec. This is in an AT running at 10MHz CPU speed. As a CYA measure, does the ASW1140 Adaptec driver for Netware work properly with the 'B' revision adapter? Other known incompatibilities I should know about? Thank you much! (for a number of reasons, please email to me). -- John Boteler bote@csense {uunet | ka3ovk}!media!csense!bote SkinnyDipper's Hotline: 703 241 BARE | VOICE only, Touch-Tone(TM) signalling
