I've been having a problem with NCSA Telnet running under DESQview. The program hangs periodically and has to be aborted and restarted. After a little poking around, it appears that the LAN driver (3C501) is stuck in a loop waiting for EXBUSY to go to zero (look at label NOTDONEX in NET501.ASM). I've tried telling DESQview not to allow anything else to share the CPU, but that didn't cure it. I've tried versions 2.1, 2.2, and 2.2D. Also three different PC's (HP Vectra, ES/12, and RS/25C), and two different 501 LAN cards. Our LAN is busy, but I wouldn't consider it overloaded. Is this a known problem with the 3C501 card (not reporting "done")? Is there a newer driver available with a poll time-out? Thanks for any help you can offer. For reference, right now things have been particularly bad. It hung 4 times while just typing this in! Greg.

The problem also happens under Windows 3.0. I've tried putting a 'TimerCriticalSection=55' in SYSTEM.INI, with no luck. This is driving me crazy. Anybody have any suggestions? Greg.
