We urgently require help. We have installed an Attachmate Extra SNA gateway on DEC's PCSA PC-LAN. It operates for half a year with troubles. Transfer of large files locks-up PC workstations and requires Ctrl+Alt+Del or even Power off/on reboot of the PC, in particular when more workstations concurrently maintain sessions through the Gateway. The Gateway maintains the sessions, IBM traces don't indicate problems in the SNA SDLC line. The problems seems to be in the workstation or LAN connection to the Gateway. Our configuration o IBM as well as Attachmate SDLC adapters are tried at 9,6 kb/s o Attachmate Gateway version 1.3.0 o Attachmate Workstations version 1.3 as well as 2.0 o PCSA DNP (Netbios) drivers version 3.0.18 and 3.0.24 o DEC's DEPCA and DE-100 LAN adapters o Philips and IBM PC AT-286's for gateway and workstations Any suggestion, experience, configuration information to help us out of these problems is welcome.
