I help administer a 3+Open network in a teaching lab. We have 24 Laser Turbo XT Pcs connected with 3COM's TokenLink boards to an IBM PS/2 Mod. 70 server. The net runs fine. However, we just installed the 3Start software on the server and the boot proms in all the PC's. The system refuses to boot using 3Start. I brought a Compaq into the lab and swapped one of the adapters into it just to limit the possibility of problem sources. The Compaq wouldn't boot from 3Start either. We've contacted 3Com, but their response is, "Gee, you need technical support! That'll be $150/hour." We just bought the 3Start program, and can't justify this kinda layout right now for new product.
