Hello out there in netland. I am a first time poster, What I would like to know is it possable to print from netprint, which is TCP/IP and normally goes to a printer hung off of a terminal server which has an IP address such as 129.92.1.345 assigned to it to a Novell print queue so that it will print out on a printer hung off of a pc on the novell network. In the past we have had to install switchboxes to share a printer between a novell print queue from a pc running rprinter and a TCP/Ip terminal server to print from a host such as a VAX cluster running netprint. Could a Novell print queue somehow be assigned an IP address to send print to? Also what hardware/software combinations could be used to accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, and please excuse any typos you may see. I am rusty at vi.:) Please email. thanks. Esharp@eagle.afit.af.mil

You may want to try the CHARON package, available via anonymous FTP from Clarkson University. I haven't tried it out yet, but I believe it does exactly what you want. Regards Doron

I missed the original posting and think that this could solve a problem facing me! many thanks -------------------- Tony Russell - Unix Support Open Computer Technology (Pty) Ltd tony@oct1 !ddsw1!olsa99!oct1!tony <<-->> tony@oct1.UUCP
