I am looking for products to allow me to present a telco T1 point-to-point, but use a CATV broadband as the physical transport. It would be similiar to existing products from companies like Hughes Lan Systems (formerly Sytek) for lower speed protocol transparent modems. Please send mail as I need this right away. Thanks in advance. I will summarize if there is interest. -- Stan internet: sob@bcm.tmc.edu Director, Networking Olan uucp: {rutgers, mailrus}!bcm!sob and Systems Support Barber Opinions expressed are only mine. Transport T1 over our broadband LAN. I am assuming you have a bi-directional CATV system (High/Mid/Low split). We are using the Fairchild data corp M505 Broadand modem. It is available with many interfaces, DS1 (alias T1),DS2,V.35,RS449/422 and TTL (there may be others available since we haven't bought any for a year now). You purchase the M505 broadband modem with the desired interface adapter, but these can be changed since the interface adapter is a modular plug in. We have been very pleased with the units we purchased. They have been reliable (no failures), they are frequency agile (20-400Mhz) and have an efficency of 1.5 bits/hertz You can contact Fairchild at: Fairchild Data Corp. 350 N. Hayden Rd.
