I am interested in finding someone who has successfully installed NCSA Telnet on a Zenith 248 8Mhz PC. I have tried everything I can think of. I modified the config.sys and autoexec.bat so that the system is running bare bones (no TSR's, no device drivers , etc). When I execute the NCSA Telnet it displays the header line, then the machines IP address, and then locks up. The machine is configured with a 3Com 3c505 board set to int 15, ioaddress 0x300, and memaddress 0xc400. This board configuration has been used sucessfully with other ethernet software, so I don't believe there are any hardware conflicts. I am also using the Clarkson Packet driver for the 3c505 board because the NCSA Telnet cannot support this board directly. I have used this packet driver on the MIT telnet program sucessfully, so I don't think there is a problem here. I execute the packet driver with the following command: 3c505 0x7d 15 0x300 0xc400. I have the config.tel setup as follows: myip=129.1.208.10 hardware=packet ioaddr=7d (This same interrupt is assigned to the packet driver) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :-) -- --- Larry S. Roberts 8450robertsl@indinpls.navy.mil lroberts@en.ecn.purdue.edu
