I have just been asked to network ou office of 10 Xenix terminals running sco xenix on a 386-25 server, 10 pc xt's, 3 386 cadd stations, 1 original mac, and 1 mac classic. I want to do this cheeply and elegantly with as little user visibility as possible. My server would be a 386-25 with 4 mb ram and a 100-200mb hard disk. Here's the problem: I want high speeds (10mb/s or more) It must be multi platform (i.e. mac xenix, and dos running together) It must not cost an arm and a leg Lantastic had an inexpensive ethernet network that went for $239 a user. But, I don't think that they support xenix and mac and dos together. We will be still using the xenix server. We will just want the ability to get data from it.
