[comp.dcom.lans] Bridge cs200 XMitBinary weirdness ?

nomann@diku.dk (Ole Nomann Thomsen) (03/19/91)

scenario: cs200 termainal-server with terminals, and PC-based terminal-
          emulators.

Can anyone explain this:
When I set the XMitBinary to ON, the PC sessions seem to bundle their
communication to Unix-hosts in packets of 4 bytes. That is, if I enter
"date\r", I have to enter "\r\r\r", to get the answer (followed by 3 prompts).

If I set XMitBinary to OFF, there is no problem. I *can't* see what it has to
do with it.

The terminals have no problem with any value of XMB.
