I am expecting my distribution of the media & docs for the new PATHWORKS v4.0 shortly and I was wondering if there were any 'gotchas' that I should plan ahead for? Have the memory requirements gone down at all? Does the DNP part still take over 50K of the lower 640? (We are using 3COM's Etherlink II cards, not DEPCA cards which would alleviate some of the memory crunch) Has anybody heard about site licensing for PATHWORKS? It's really annoying having to shell out $200+ (Canadian) for EACH AND EVERY MICRO...this is over and above the cost of the network cards @ $250/ea.! Arg! :-( Also...is the TCP/IP option pretty solid? We have some non-DEC stuff which we would like to integrate with the micros and TCP/IP seems to be the way to go.(?) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thomas Dzubin, Network Coordinator SED Systems Inc. 18 Innovation Boulevard Saskatoon, Saskatchewan CANADA (306) 933-1573 dzubin@skorpio.USask.Ca
