We have a requirement to support token passing ring technology in addition to our existing ethernet cabling. Apparently there are two competing approaches for delivering token passing ring services: hub based platforms and standalone MAUs. I, as a service provider, would appreciate receiving opinions and experiences relating to the delivery of services (MAU vs hub), cabling (STP vs UTP), including factors and reasons for selection.
