I need information on DECNET: its history, technical details (such as the anatomy of the protocol stack, etc.), market share, etc. Any pointers to good sources? Besides the technical stuff, I'm interested in material on DECNET's evolution. From what I've been told so far, the first version fizzled, and DEC learned from its mistakes and rebuilt the networking scheme from the ground up. Is this true? If so, what problems plagued the original and how were they addressed? <BG> -- "Beware when the great God lets loose a thinker on this planet. Then all things are at risk.
