Which of the Ethernet controller chips that are
currently available, is the most perfect/close to perfect
chip to design with? I know the AMD 7990 and the Intel
82586 used to have problems in the beginning. What about
the National 8390 chip?

  How is the Texas Instr. Eagle Token Ring chip doing?
I hear Western Digital has one for Token Ring also.
Does the Pulse Engg front end interface chip (TROLI)
really support the required number of stations
on a Token Ring (per IBM spec)?
