[comp.dcom.lans] Western Digital model numbers

I am looking for a WD8013 Ethernet adapter. I was told that Western Digital's
16-bit adapter is now referred to as the WDLANEP16. Does anyone know if this
is just a WD8013 with a new name stamped on it? Or is it a completely new
design?

Thanks,

There is a complete new family of boards, the ELITE line. These are functionaly
nearly identical ( the new drivers work with the old ones, not vice versa )
but are higher integrated, with fewer chips, smd tech, and they are
software configurable through a eeprom. Jumpers are needed only for thick/thin
and for a emergency address ( to soft-configure if one lost the address in the
eeprom )
