Does anyone know of any low speed bridges ( i.e. 54kbps/ISDN BRI ) that utilize compression techniques to increase throughput? Of course compression techniques are commomly used in modems and I was wondering if similar techniques where being utilized in the case of slower speed digital links? Also has anyone had experience using such a bridge to connect smaller LANtastic/Novell LANs? Is the throughput acceptable? I realise that the answer to this question depends to a large degree on the LAN configurations and usage, but any information would be gratefully accepted. Thanks in advance for any and all info.
