I'm looking for a way to increase performace of Paradox on a Lan Manager type (AT&T) fileserver. This is a network version of Paradox. Questions, What are the major limiting factors in the performance of Paradox applications, ie. file and/or record locking, network bandwith, or NIC and/or fileserver performance? What, if any, increase in performace would hooking Paradox to an SQL server with Paradox SQL Link type product provide? Would moving to Novell or other Networking OS help Performance?
