the subject really says it all...snmp runs over ip/udp on ethernet and this can be stuffed on top of slip or ppp if you had to go over serial lines, but how would you do this over token ring? would it be the same as ethernet with ip directly on top or is there something in the middle between ip and token ring's mac layer? _lee
