[comp.dcom.lans] Cabletron Install

The recent messages on Cabletron prompt me to write the following:

I recently designed and installed a network for our new facility based on
Cabletron 10BaseT equipment. It included 20 - MRXI's and an NB20E. We also
used AMP patch panels (555503-1 and 559605-1), some Cabletron TPT's (AUI to
10BaseT converters) for WD8003 adapters, and purchased 70 WD combo cards.
With the exception of LANView, the install went GREAT. LANView 2.00.11
only recognizes the MRXI's as SNMP devices. Hopefully Cabletron will have
the MRXI compatible version of LANView available soon.

The word I got from Cabletron is that the maintenance release of LANview which
supports the MRXI should be available be the first week of July. Whether or
not it shows up by then remains to be seen ;-)
