Below is a diagram of a prototype network that we are working on. Has anyone connected a network like this. Both side of the Unix box, Unix<=>Dos and Unix<=>IBM are easy and off the shelf. The problem comes when I want to connect from a PC through the Unix machine to the IBM machine using 3270 and getting HLLAPI support. If you have any ideas or suggestions please send me a message. Thanx bob (uunet!bdofed!bob) ---- ---- ---- ---- DOS 5.0 |PS/2| |PS/2| |PS/2| |PS/2| Windows 3.0 | | | | | | | | Brightview( HLLAPI support required ) ---- ---- ---- ---- Connectivity to the IBM Mainframe | | | | ---------------------- | | ------- | Unix | SCO/Unix ? | | Advanced Pick | | -------- | |-----|Terminal| ------- | -------- | | | -------... more terminals | ------------- | | | IBM | | Mainframe | | | | | | | | | ------------- There will be from 3 to 17 nodes on the PS/2 based network. I have tried several solution but have intentionally not mentioned them here. I want to get and will followup on ALL ideas. Most of the research has been through sales and presales support. We do have a solution working with a fileserver/gateway and a Unix based computer but the goal is to merge the fileserver and Unix machine into one. In this way we will be saving a file server( well in the end it will actually be 60+ file servers) So please send any and all ideas to: Bob Lawson (uunet!bdofed!bob) Thanx in advance.
