I'm looking for an effective mass storage device to back up my 70MB winchester. Since my system is a DEC Rainbow, which is compatible with almost nothing, I can't use most of the popular IBM PC oriented options. About the only standard part of my system is the disk controller, which can run two ST412/ST506 compatible drives. Since I'm only using one drive, the ideal solution would be a tape cartridge drive that looks like an ST412/ST506 disk drive. A disk cartridge drive would be OK too, except that the ones I've seen only hold 5MB, and the cartridges cost $100 apiece -- which means $1400 in media for just one full backup. Any ideas? -- Larry Campbell The Boston Software Works, Inc.
