I am working on a driver under SUN UNIX (3.2) for a SCSI 1/2" tape drive. I am new to both UNIX and SCSI. I have the SCSI spec and understand general UNIX driver operation (special files, using config, building kernels,etc.). However, I am having trouble really understanding the nitty-gritty operation of UNIX drivers (use of buffer pool, interrupt handling, etc.). Any r recommendations for books or articles that explain driver construction in DETAIL? Any sample drivers with LOTS of notes? (I have plenty of sample drivers from SUN with almost no notes). Emails your suggestions and I will summarize. Thanks in advance. Rob Bradlee
