I am having trouble installing a Hardcard 20 disk card as the SECOND hard disk on an NCR PC-4 (vintage 1984, DOS 2.11). It will work satisfactorily as the only (c:) drive, but returns "Non-DOS disk format error" when I try to access it as the 2nd (d:) drive. Plus Development, the Hardcard vendor, doesn't "support" the NCR PC (or many others) and disclaims any insight into the problem. Do you actually have two disk controller cards in use? Are you
sure their device addresses don't conflict? Most controllers can
accomodate two drives.
