The output of the Sun framestores are not compatable with the
RS-170/NTSC video standard. RS-170 is the timing standard that is
used by most (US) broadcast, commercial and home video. The Sun
framestore output is of much higher resolution and thus higher
bandwidth.
I don't know if there is any hardware outthere that can down convert
the Sun framestore output into a format that is compatable with
RS-170. If it does exist, it would be pricey. The easiest, yet most
inelegant technique would be to point a color camera at the Sun
monitor.....
You could also plug in an alternate vendors framestore that has
RS-170 output into your sun. If there is a pixrect driver for this
framestore, you can run SunView so that it will use that framestore
and then run your graphic aplication on this new framestore and use
its output.
We have done this experimentally with one of our framestore products
with great result, though we do not have a complete pixrect driver
for it.
