I have a Maynard Sandstar floppy disk controller. It is a multipurpose card that will support several modular option boards. One of the options boards is a tape controller for the Maynard Maynstream tape backup system. Well, I found a good deal on the tape controller option board, but it came with no documentation or software. (good_deal == $2.99 :-) I'd like to put together a tape backup system with it. I believe it's a QIC-02 tape interface. Does anybody know where I can get some information on QIC-02? What tape drives will work with it, what software is available to work with it? From what I've seen, all the PC tape systems seem to be packaged systems with hardware and software. Is there any standard PC to cartridge tape software, any standard tape formats?
