We are trying to plot to a Calcomp 1075 plotter using an IBM-RT running AIX Version 1.1. The plotter queues characters until its buffer is full, then drops CTS. When it's ready again, it raises CTS. Apparently, this has the negative effect of trashing the next block of data from the RT because of a timing problem. The plotter complains about a Logic Error, which forces a hard reset. 1) Has anyone experienced this problem before? 2) Is there a better solution than forcing the driver to wait ten seconds after each block is plotted? 3) We are using the single serial port which came with the unit. We also have received a 4 port board, but have not tried it yet (nonstandard cables :-( ). Does anyone know if this board has the same problem, if in fact it is the board?
