I'm bringing up a new UN*X system and I'm having problems. Specifics: 4.2BSD, VAX 785, RA81 disks, dmf32 terminal controllers, 3 Unibuses. My present system is a 780, dh terminal interfaces and RM05 disk -- that works fine. When booting the 785, it can't seem to recognize the fact that there are any terminals out there -- any process that tries to address them hangs and cannot be killed. Both the dmf and uda are on Unibus zero (for now). There is a 'funny' on bootup -- the vectors it shows are out to lunch. The uda (ra81 interface) shows a vector of 774 (it's really 154), but the disk SEEMS to work fine. The dmf shows a vector of 740 (it's really 310). What gives ?? The system works fine single user, or it comes up multi (console only) and works fine.
