I've just traded in my A1000 for a B2000, and am now anxiously awaiting the appearance of the much-rumored scan doublers so that I can get rid of this $%&^@! interlace flicker once and for all. Can anyone enlighten me as to the relative merits of the various multisynch monitors? The choices seem to be the following: NEC MultiSynch, Mitsubishi Diamond Scan, Sony Multiscan, Taxan 770 MultiVision, Zenith ??? I'm not positive about the existence of the Zenith unit. Mail order prices for all of these seem to fall around $530, with the Sony usually at the high end of the range. I'm interested in the following characteristics: Diagonal Screen size Steadiness of display Color balance and trueness Types of inputs (e.g. analog RGB, digital RGB, NTSC composite) -- the more the better External controls -- again, the more the better Input Connectors -- I don't mind making cables, but I'd rather not spend months searching for weird connectors. Of course, an analog RGB input that is pin-compatible with the Amiga video cable would be ideal Ergonomic (yecch, what an execrable word) features like tilt&swivel, anti-glare/fingerprint coating, size of unit, color coordination with B2000 ( 8^} ) These are not in any particular order, except the one in which I thought of them. Is the Sony worth the extra $$, or does it just cost more because it says SONY on it? A netcliche: If I get lots of mail responses to this, I'll post a summary; honest I will! Addendum: In case anyone is interested, I bought back my A1000 for a mere $50 with this trade-in deal. I hesitate to enrage the napalm-squirting commercial- busters by saying more, so if you want the details, send me mail and I'll tell you the whole story... ______________________________________________________________________________ /_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/_____/ |_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____| _No dark sarcasm in the classroom|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|___ |____Teachers leave the kids alone__|_____|_____|bryan@ratliff.cs.utexas.edu__| ___|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_{ihnp4,seismo,...}!ut-sally!ut-ratliff!bryan |_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|_____|
