Does anyone have any experience and/or hard data on the reliability of high density tape storage subsystems for use on Vax Unix systems. There are some subsystems which claim reliable storage of up to 2.5 Gigabytes on a single VHS tape and we are looking for reasonable alternatives to 9-track reel tape storage.
