word is Bowie has signed with EMI (I think) for $7.5M and has contracted for 5 albums, the first of which is in cover design and pressing stage. he also has parts in several movies, a few of which sounded interesting (but i can't remember!). he will tour the US this summer (OH MY GOD!).
