I own a Tandy Model 200 and encountered a problem that may or may not be simple to solve. The problem is when I have a printer attached, the 200 only sends out the printer port a carriage return(^M), what my printer also needs is a line feed(^J) to prevent the printer from over writing. I've tried to fix this problem on the printer side, but no results. It definitely needs to be done on the computer(200) side. My question is... Is there an easy fix for this problem? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | jeffery siou | | ...!{ !decwrl!qubix, ames!oliveb!tymix, pyramid}!wjvax!jeffs | | | | the above opinions are mine alone and not, in any way, those of WJ. | | | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ |

In reference to the Model 200's line feed problem, there are two places that come to mind that you can most likely download a text formatting program that will add a line feed to each carriage return. The GEnie network has a SIG (or Roundtable as GEnie calls them) dedicated to portables including the 200. Also, Compuserve has a SIG supporting the Tandy notebook portables (M100, M102, and the 200) that should also have such a program. If you don't have an account with one of those, try calling the following; Portable Computer Support Group 11035 Harry Hines Blvd., #206 Dallas, TX 75229 (214) 351-0564 Purple Computing 420 Constitution Ave. Camarillo, CA 93010 (805) 987-4788
