[comp.periphs] Souping up the Toshiba Laptop

wcs@skep2.ATT.COM (Bill.Stewart.[ho95c]) (07/18/88)

Are there any internal hard disks still available for the 1100+ ?
We ordered the compueter and a third-party hard disk, and the vendor
delivered the computer, told us the disk was backordered.
(When the company that made the disk went belly-up, they at least gave
our money back.) Shortly after that the 1200 came out.

I know there are a couple of large clamp-on boxes, but we'd really like
an internal or a *small* clamp-on. Anybody want to sell one used, or
know a vendor?

There used to be an internal hard disk for the Toshiba 1100+ laptop computer
called the LiteDrive 10. It is now out of production.

There is a review of the LiteDrive 10 in the Aug '88 issue of Computer Shopper
on page 114. CMS Enhancements, as indicated by the article, will now be
producing the LiteDrive 20, a 20 Megabyte version of the original LiteDrive,
for many of the major laptop computers.
