I'm looking for a graphics tablet or something similar that gives me the following advantages: 1.) It must be able to run under microsoft windows. 2.) It is comfortable to use as an electronic "pen" to write long hand notes on the screen (we have the software to do this, but the mouse is impossible to "write" with!). This also implies that the device driver can keep up with a person writing at normal speed, some of the tablets we've found are not good at this. 3.) It must be small enough to fit comfortably in someone's lap, but be big enough to allow coverage for an 8.5x11 inch page. 4.) It should connect to a serial or parallel port (serial preferred). 5.) It would be nice if the "pen" didn't have any wires connected to it, but this is not a requirement. 6.) It should be able to comfortably do mouse "pointing" and selections in some fashion. As you can probably guess, the main use of this will be writing long hand notes on the screen, under microsoft windows. We believe that some type of tablet, with a pen would be the best and fastest thing to come up with. However, if you have any ideas on other devices that could be better, I would appreciate hearing about them. Otherwise, please let me know about any graphics tablets that you believe may fit the bill. If there is enough interest, I will post my results to the net. Thanks!!
