[comp.periphs] lpc stop

I have 2 pen plotters at work, both seem to have a problem returning to
"HOME" when a plot is complete before the plot spooler sends out the
next plot. This causes a slew problem that is not acceptable. My
fix for the time being is to run a shell script that monitors the plot 'Q'
and does an 'lpc stop' while the active plot is still in the spool dir.
when the plot is done, it does an 'lpc start' then repeats the loop
until there are no more plots in the 'Q'. My big problem with this is
that 'lpc stop & start' are super-user commands. How can I give permission
to all users so that I don't have to start all the plots myself ?????

One plotter is a Calcomp 1044-GT, the other is a Computervision P1000.
