I'm looking for war stories concerning Century Data Systems disk drives,
specifically Model 21000 (1.006GB), Model 21200 (1.2GB), and Model 21500
(1.5GB). One of my disk vendors is suggesting these drives for my Sun 3/280
server. I have a data sheet that shows them as 2.458MB/sec transfer rate
drives, which suits my needs. He's also suggesting the Xylogics 752
controller for them.
Anyone have these drives at your site, especially on a Sun? Had any
problems with them? Do you boot from them? Are they the disks to fall in
love with?
