I want to thank everyone who sent me suggestions on curing my squeek. I received several good suggestions. I was able to borrow an old toner cartridge to illiminate that possibility. The problem turned out to be as I had suspected......the fuser module! Having the service manual for this little hummer I was able to pull the fuser assembly in short order. It simply "plugs" in and is held in place by four screws. On the left side of the hot roller (as viewed from the front) there is a small, thin, tin leaf spring which makes contact with the metal edge of the hot roller (the roller with the lamp running through the middle). When rotating the fuser by hand, this spring will emit a shrill squeel as the hot roller turns. I tried re-tensioning this spring but the squeek prevailed. I've worked with several brands of laser printers and I'm not sure the exact purpose of this brush since there is no potential applied to the hot roller, only heat. In any event, I carefully applied 1/3rd of a drop of lubricant to this brush and then carefully rotated the hot roller. To look at the roller, there is no visible substance but it is enough to silence the squeel. The printer is now functioning fine and is perfectly quiet! I know of a few others who mentioned their printers squeeked as well. I'm certain this brush is the guilty culpret.
