I'm looking for a retail source for an obscure connector used for the expansion bus on the Datavue Spark laptop. It's made by "K.L. Electronics" and looks like a centronics printer connector, but smaller-- actually about the same size, but it has 50 pins instead of 36. The part number Datavue gave me is 8802-050-170. The computer has two rows of pins down the center (like a printer cable), so I need two rows of pins to fit on either side of these (like the connector on a printer). There are two of these end to end, with no shell around them. I only need two (plus maybe a spare), but the distributor has a $100 minimum order. Does anyone know of any other product that uses this connector? Or any companies that specialize in obscure connectors?
