I have in my hands a Western Digital hard disk controller, the reason its in my hands and not in the machine benifiting mankind (well at least me :-) is because its missing a small (but major) componant. This missing part is the PROM (I said it was major). This means the board is brain damaged. With your help I may be able to place this board back on the road to recovery. If someone could point me in the direction of a new PROM I'd appreciate it. Here are the Boards vital stats... It's a WD1002(TAN??) Assembly 61-031092-00 The prom is situated(piggy back) on the NS87P50D-6 (processor I guess) This board is part of the hard disk controller for the TRS-80 Mod I, but the Western Digital part may be standard. Thanx for you help and support needed in correcting this social outcast. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Mark Woodward Trigraph Inc., Toronto, Canada utzoo!trigraph!mark =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= "You can take a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead."
