posting for a friend - i think that i have the details correct, but feel free to straighten me out if i don't! This friend has a PS/2 mod 70 with an 8514 video card. I understand that this card requires that it is placed in the 16 bit slot. He also needs to install a 3270 host card which I understand also has to be installed in the 16 bit slot. I think that some 8 & 16 bit cards can be installed into a 32 bit slot and if this is true, do either of these cards fall into this catagory. Failing this, what alternatives does he have? One little restriction that he is stuck with - the solution must be accomplished with TRUE BLUE equipment. However, if this is not possible, please give alternatives anyway - he can't be any worse off and I'll learn something too. [A[BOne rumor (read - unproven fact) is that an IBM viedo card is or will soon be avaliable for the 8514 that will boost it's resolution * 4.
