I would like some assistance in connecting an IBM 6180 8-pen plotter to a MAC II. I am particularly interested in the correct dip switch settings, cables required, the HP equivalent model for this particular plotter, availability of a device driver, etc. I have been successful in connecting a larger IBM Plotter (HP equivalent 7475) using the IBM RS 232 cable supplied, a Hayes Modem --> Mac + (25 pin to 9 pin) connector to the modem port on the MAC II. The driver for this device is in Cricket Graph. This driver "ALMOST" makes the 6180 run, but the plotter gets greatly confused and will plot nonsensical things. This leads me to believe that the cabling is correct...the driver is not. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can send. E-mail replies are acceptable. -- Sally Moore | Video inexpert extraordinairre CNSF/Theory Center moore@tcgould.tn.cornell.edu slm@cornellf.tn.cornell.edu
