We are looking into buying a standard (E)EPROM burner to do some development work. We don't need anything fancy, except for the ability to do gang/set programming. We discarded the Data I/O (Model 288) in favor of the Bytek 135H-E, primarily based on the price difference. The Data I/O is $4K, and the Bytek is about half of that. Questions: are we making a mistake? I used to work with Data I/O's, and they worked just fine. Is Bytek as good as Data I/O? Does anyone know of someone else who might be better or cheaper? Andrew L.
